Game Brain

The Challenge

Our partners at the Responsible Gambling Council presented us with a real quest: to cook up a game to help 15-17 year olds learn about the dangesr of gambling.
It would need to be exciting, colourful, and upbeat (because who wants to play something boring, dull, and depressing?), with catchy tunes and a strong message. It had to keep both the hard-core crowd and the non-gamers from zoning out. And the real kicker? No gambling. None. Nada.

The Process

First, we hit the books! We put together a snapshot of the children’s market, and looked at what kind of media would be best for the project.
The folks at RedRover were excited about a previous project of theirs that had used real books in a digital context, and we decided to run with it. RedRover’s CEO dreamed up the story for an exciting graphic novel with crisp images and lots of action. We found a stellar writer who gave it a gripping graphic plot, and hooked an incredible artist to bring the idea to the screen.

Accreditations

A fun, challenging game with sensational graphics, exciting motion, and gameplay that stays frash because it’s a little different each time. The characers are adorable, and their bouncing, sliding spinning fun delivers an important message without being omnious or heavy-handed.
